What are the cones made of?

Our katol is handmade with natural and locally sourced ingredients like: 

  • Citronella

  • Elemi 

  • Neem

  • Madre de cacao

  • Recycled, untreated wood

How do you use them?

🔥 Light the katol.
⏱️ Wait for 1-2 minutes.
🌬️ Blow out the flame.
 

Best to use in open areas or outdoors. If using indoors, make sure to have many doors and windows open.
 

Always place on a non-flammable base.

How long does it last?

A cone burns for about 2 hours long depending on wind & humidity, and if lit continuously can keep mosquitoes away about 1-3 hours after that depending on infestation.

Can a cone be used more than once?

Yes. Once you feel that there is enough smoke, you can put the cone out by stamping it out and keep it for later.

 

It's important to store used and unused cones in an airtight container like ziplock bags to prevent any moisture from creating molds and affecting how it burns.
